Today’s Necklaces

• My favorite of my two rosaries that I acquired from my Great Uncle. This is from the Vatican and was blessed by Pope John Paul II; my Great Uncle’s father was a friend of his. Although I am atheist, I think this is far too beautiful to be locked away in a drawer. It’s one of my favorite pieces of jewelry. 

• My Whitby Jet necklace that I inherited from my Grandmother. This is my favorite pendant, and I usually wear it on a short silver chain, although occasionally I put it on a small loop earring to wear it as an earring.

• My Paaps bought me this Cameo necklace/brooch for my 15th Birthday last summer from Venice. I’ve always loved Victorian Cameo jewelry; this is a modern, lazer-cut glass piece, hence the super-fine details. I picked this one because the girl is inadvertently doing Metal-horns.
