samaelandlilith:

Yesterday, I went to an antique jewelry shop. I found this cross and absolutely fell in love with it. The main cross is silver, and the flower and front piece detailing are gold.

The chain I’m wearing it on is my mother’s. She suggested that it would look nice, which it does, so I will be sneaking this out of her jewelry box quite a lot ;)

Sophie Lancaster (1986-2007)
On the 11th of August 2007, Sophie Lancaster and her boyfriend, Robert Maltby, were brutally attacked for being Goths. Both of them were pushed into comas; Robert woke up with permanent brain damage, but on this day 5 years ago, the decision was made to switch off Sophie’s life support machine.
Sophie and her boyfriend had done nothing to their attackers, apart from dress differently to them, which is, according to the thugs, more than enough reason to cause severe pain - both physical and emotional - and death.
Sophie’s family set up the Sophie Lancaster Foundation in order to eradicate prejudice towards alternative subcultures and to create a lasting legacy for their beautiful daughter.
Rest In Peace Sophie

Hello there! I bought them from the vintage store, Rokit in Camden. The brand is 725 Originals, but as they were from a vintage store, I’m not sure if you will be able to buy exactly the same from somewhere :(

Keep looking in vintage stores though, they were very popular in the 70s/80s, even my mum had a pair!

Aww thank you, sweetie. Haha that’s lovely, I’ve always wanted a pair of boots like this, and then I found them in a vintage shop in Camden and it made me very happy :)

Any knee-high boots should work with the ideas I gave you. You just have to experiment really and see what fits you and your personality :)

You’re welcome!

kimiraven said: i recently bought myself a boots with it's length reaching below knee, i am new to this goth fashion myself and was thinking if you have any idea on what kind of pants or leggings that will matched such boots. A picture of such pants or leggings will be lovely.

Firstly, welcome to the world of Gothic fashion!

Well it all depends what kind of boots they are, but I bought myself these lovely boots a few months ago, and I wear them with literally anything!

I wear them most often with my skinny black jeans. One of my favourite outfits at the moment is the new shirt I bought from Pyon Pyon at Sai Sai, my black skinnies and these boots.

The only photo I have of me wearing them with jeans is me face-planting on a giant bean-bag in Camden xD

I have also worn them with lace tights and various skirts. It works with most, I have found :)

When I am going casual, they work with leggings. Although, when I’m wearing leggings, I always wear my pyramid stud and chain belt, just something to cover my crotch area ahah.

Excuse how bloody unattractive I look. My sister found my ‘casual Goth’ outfit amusing…

I hope this helped :)

leviaquin said: Hey, I have a question. Where would I think about going to BUY a black corset? X

That depends where you live, m’dear. I live near London and go to Camden pretty often, so I buy my gear from there.

You can order them quite easily from the internet as well. Burleska is my favourite corset store in Camden, and their website (www.burleska.co.uk) ships all around the world.

Although, I’d be wary if buying online without references. Some corsets are not great quality.

Also, just a quick tip when buying a corset. Buy one with a waist size two inches smaller than your actual waist size. This means that when you fully tighten it, you can get some waist reduction. But if tightened half way it’s be more practical to wear throughout the day or if wearing it for a meal.

I want to wear it to school, but I don't know how to incorporate it into my outfit. I was thinking black skinny jeans and my black docs, but what sort of shirt would I be able to wear under the corset so that I do not show the "fluff"?

Hmm I’m not sure how you would hide the detailing exactly, but for school, I imagine you want to look smart. So I’d suggest wearing a black fitted shirt underneath it with the collar open (either flip it up or down, either way it looks nice) and a simple necklace. If it’s a waist-clincher style corset and doesn’t cover the bottom on the shirt on your sides, I’d go for some high-waisted jeans with the shirt tucked in.

The middle one is me wearing a corset with the shirt under, if you can see aha. Yeah, me and my friends are cool.

If you want to look super-smart, wear the shirt etc, but wear a short pencil skirt underneath. I’ve worn corsets like that before, and I really love how I look :)

I hope this helped a bit :)
